Roy Lainez Solano


Vice President of Community, Alumni Society Board

Roy Lainez Solano is a first-generation Hispanic student and son of two dedicated Honduran immigrants. Roy was born and raised in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area where 296 days in the year are sunny. Roy graduated from South Ridge High School on December 17th, 2021, and soon after began to work as a Mathematics Instructional Aide. At South Ridge High School, Roy spent his time studying and leading many extracurricular clubs and activities. As a two-time Student Body President, he aspired to create unity across his high school campus.

Now that Roy is experiencing what it means to work in education, he is excited to begin his college career. Roy is pursuing a BS in Pharmacology/Toxicology, as well as his Secondary Education certification in Chemistry at Arizona State University. After achieving his Bachelor’s degree, Roy plans to go to earn a PharmD at University of Arizona College of Pharmacy. Roy also hopes to work in a classroom and promote inclusivity across Arizona schools.

As the Vice President of Community (Social Events), Roy aspires to create fun and engaging events for all alumni. Like many of the members on the board, Roy hopes to inspire alumni. Roy currently co-advises Student Council at South Ridge where he has seen how students have become leaders. Roy anticipates that NEEL alumni will be the future leaders of the United States of America. When Roy is not working or studying, you can find him leading worship at church or binge-watching Grey’s Anatomy!
