Julia Jeffries

Curriculum Advisor

Julia Jeffries is a Ph.D. candidate in Culture, Institutions, and Society at the Harvard Graduate school of Education. Her research interests lie at the intersection of race and identity in K-12 classrooms in both students and teachers. She seeks to use sociological and cultural frameworks to understand how schools can foster student racial and ethnic identity development and the pivotal role that teachers and their own understandings of identity play in this process. In her free time she enjoys playing with her dog, running, and exploring new restaurants and recipes.
