Julia Imershein


Youth Voice Intern

Julia Imershein is currently a junior at the University of Michigan. She is a Psychology major with a minor in Community Action Social Change while also receiving a certification in Poverty Solutions through the Ford School of Public Policy. Julia is passionate about working toward education equity. She serves as a Michigan Mentor in the Ann Arbor Public School System,
worked at a Head Start in Ypsilanti, Mi, and worked as an after school volunteer at Avalon Housing, a homeless shelter in Ann Arbor for families. She interned at the DREAM Charter School Summer Literacy Program in NYC (last summer). In high school she volunteered at Bloomingdale Day Care Center and at Mt Sinai Kravis Center for Children. Julia is very excited to be a part of the National Education Equity team working with student leaders on the Student Advisory Board.
