Data and Operations Associate
Hamza Tahirovic is a graduate student at CUNY Queens College majoring in Data Analytics and Applied Social Research. Prior to joining the National Education Equity Lab, Hamza was an Intern with the Ford Foundation. Working in their information management department, he supported global initiatives through the accessibility of informational resources and data. He became passionate about college accessibility by having the opportunity to work in data and research at the CUNY Research Evaluation and Program Support (REPS) team. There, he worked on analysis, strategy, and improvements for college initiative programs.
Hamza holds a bachelor’s degree from CUNY Queens College, majoring in Sociology. At Queens College, he was a Supplemental Instructor and Teaching Assistant for the Sociology and Urban Studies Department. During his free time, Hamza enjoys hiking, long-distance running, and learning new languages.
