Miranda is a graduate of Emerson College where she majored in visual media arts and earned her Bachelor’s degree. Her study of media arts has taught her the significance of representation and equitable platforms for all people. Miranda grew up in Washington, DC, and has been passionate about equality and justice from a young age. Through her adolescence, she has interned with nonprofits around the city that are rooted in social justice. She worked with Everybody Wins DC! to bring books to underfunded elementary schools and set up mentorships for these students. Her passion for helping people and providing equitable opportunities has been a theme through her educational and extracurricular endeavors. She is excited to bring her passion to the Education Equity Lab and is inspired by the college-in-high-school classroom model.
