Anna Bernstein

Summer Special Projects Fellow

Anna is originally from North Carolina and is a current undergraduate student at Yale University. She is studying education and political science. She is involved in the Yale Undergraduate Prison Project where she works to ban the box in higher education. She also enjoys tutoring New Haven public school students through the college process.

Anna became passionate about education reform when she founded a tutoring program for Hispanic students in her hometown. Through this experience, she learned about the inequity within the education system and hopes to dedicate her future to addressing this education injustice.

As a Special Projects Fellow, Anna is excited to work towards National Education Equity Lab’s mission of expanding opportunities for economic and social mobility for low-income students.
